Game rules

Eckerö Match Camp is played according to ÅFF's competition and representation rules. As some rules differ between Sweden and Finland, here is a clarification:

  • In the game form 7v7 no offside is applied.
  • In 9v9 the offside rule is applied from the center line (same as 11v11).
  • NOTE! No offside on throw-ins and kick-ins.
  • The goalkeeper may not pick up a home pass from his own player with his hands.
  • When the goalkeeper is about to start the game, the defending team must retreat to the retreat line, the referee shows where (applies only in 7v7).
  • If the goalkeeper saves the ball, he may take a goalkeeper's kick from his hands.

Field size

  • 9v9 Plan dimensions: 64x47m
  • 7v7 Plan dimensions: 64x32m

Footballs and equipment

  • The matches are played with ball size 4.
  • The two teams' uniforms must be in colors that distinguish the teams from each other and from the referee.
  • The goalkeeper's kit should be in colors that are different from the other players' kit colors.
  • All types of jewelry are prohibited and must be removed (not ok to tape over).
  • Shin guards must be made of suitable material that provides adequate protection. They should be covered by the socks.

Gametime

  • 9v9 is played 2x20min.
  • 7v7 is played 2x20min.

Game information

  • Everyone must be changed and ready at the pitch no later than 15 minutes before kick-off.
  • All players must be insured by their respective clubs.
  • Each team is responsible for its own supporters and their behavior. Supporters' behavior can lead to the team being excluded from the match camp.

Organizer

Eckerö Match Camp arranges match camps together with IFK Mariehamn. All our match camps are sanctioned by the Åland Football Association.
